So in case there are other luggage/packing fanatics like me out there (hello? anyone?), I thought I'd give some quick feedback about the packing cubes I bought from ebags.com. I took them to MD last week in my LL Bean duffle bag and they were perfect. I used the large for pants/shorts/skirts and the medium for tops. They kept everything together neatly in one place, and I found it much easier to pack up and leave.
Ebags is fast becoming a favorite website. Like my most beloved site, Lands End, it constantly sends me promotion codes for free shipping and 20% off. Apparently they know a promotion sucker when they see one.
So when I received a 20% off coupon and saw that they are discontinuing two pretty colors that were not options the first time I purchased, well, I just had to buy some more.
More medium and large packing cubes will be arriving soon. Yes, I'm a luggage geek and I'm proud of it. But really, how could you resist these?
We packed up the family and joined the Foreign Service in 2011. Currently in: Mexico City, Mexico!

My husband used to work for The Container Store, so we were indoctrinated into all things luggage and packing. I was cleaning out the cabinets in the bathroom and I cannot tell you how many 3 oz. bottles I found! I also really like the packing cubes, and I'm glad there's a less $$ alternative to Eagle Creek.
The greatest accessory we've found for this traveling lifestyle is the handheld luggage scale. It saves you so much stress in packing. I love to know when my bags are underweight and I can keep stuffing things in.
lisa- what a great job! I wish I had worked there!! And yes, I'm happy to have found these more affordable cubes as the EC ones are a bit pricey.
Stephanie- I agree, I love that thing! Great gift for travelers too.
I third the love for the handheld luggage scale. Mr. L got one of those before our last trip. What we learned is that our large suitcase, when filled more or less to the max, weighs in at exactly the limit for overseas flights.
