More stuff

We are buried in stuff over here. Our final shipment arrived on Friday and was strewn about the house when I arrived home (we had the movers unload the boxes and take them away, which felt like a mistake but my experienced FS friends told me this will mean we actually deal with all the stuff. We'll see). We're lucky we don't have a live-in maid, because we're using her room as a storage room!

There is a lot going on this week, which I'll tell you about soon, but for now, some photos of the mess, just for fun.

And, some photos of my little girl, trying on and playing with every new/old thing she could find. Aunt J, do you recognize the fairy wings??

M was running a fever all weekend and Mama had to work on Saturday. But yesterday, I got to spend some wonderful QT with my family. We made cupcakes from newly arrived supplies and organized the kitchen and kids room. Slowly, slowly, our home is coming together. But boy, do I need to reduce some more.

Oh no! Working a Saturday the day after HHE arrived had to be tough. Glad it's slowly coming together. G'luck with your busy week.

The only thing worse than working on the Saturday the HHE comes in is if there are no cupcakes or toys/dressup clothes to rediscover. It looks like you had it all well covered! Hope all are feeling well soon and you enjoy this season of post arrival!

HHE is always overwhelming and I always spend several weeks swearing to get rid of everything, but then miraculously all the stuff finds a home in the new house and suddenly a month or two later I look around and this strange house with ugly furniture has suddenly become home and then I am glad I ship so much junk everywhere we go.

Sorry you had to work that Sat, UGGH! And hope everyone is feeling all better now.

Hey B Files

I lvoe your blog and would love to pick your brain. Is there a way that I can contact you off line. I have some questions about your transition to FS life that I think you are in a great position to answer. Thanks. Arriaga's Adeventures

Love the "L trying on all the stuff" series. All those toys forgotten about, revisited! Sounds like our experience exactly. We could have done without most of it, but the fun was sort of worth it - and the stuff around definitely makes it feel more like home! Everyone looks great!

Tulum with tweens

I'm still here! Thought I'd write about our vacation to Tulum this past week. The kids' school is off for 'fall break,...
