No invite this week and I don't really think it's coming. The two I know with 5.6s didn't get called either. The funny thing is that I actually am not that worked up about getting the offer, but I like the anticipation and intrigue. It reminds me of when my babies were due- any moment now! Could be today! Let's talk about it!
I really can't take a last minute offer, as I need to give my boss 4 weeks and need to travel to DC a week early to get the kids settled in daycare. Thankfully, I have a place to stay- mom and pop, you don't mind, do you??
So, it could still happen, but I think not.
(P.S. Next class, which belongs to the new Fiscal Year for which there is no approved budget, is Oct 25. Calls would go out the end of August.)
In other news, today is Flag Day! I only know of one blogger from the June class, although I have some email friends from the class as well. Are there other active bloggers I'm forgetting? The other two generalist A100 bloggers that Digger identifies do not seem to be blogging anymore.

I think that poster was a bit out of line. As a fellow board member, I find your posts useful, interesting, and helpful. FWIW, I completely agree with much of what you've said in the last few days :).

I am always amazed at how people on the A-100 boards are so free with the insults/snide remarks/patronizing tone. You wouldn't think these people wanted to be diplomats.

Having someone tell you to not worry and calm down is an insult? I think you should step back from this--I didn't read that as an insult at all. And also, I think their advice is warranted. We're all worried, but it doesn't require a fresh post nearly daily to remind everyone how worried we should all be.
I don't even want to think what is said to consular officers in the visa window! I'm sure it will be much worse--prepare yourself accordingly.
I revised my post bec it's true, it wasn't really an insult, but it wasn't very nice, either. But I know, the world is not always a nice place.
I just don't think it's necessary to tell someone to stop posting. If someone finds it annoying, he/she can stop reading.
